Car rental from Cracow Airport
Car rental companies' desks are lined up opposite arrivals in the terminal building.
Their personnel speak English. You will need a valid driving license for car hire. Polish law requires that headlights are used during the day from October to March. We've found Budget to be the best car hire rental at Cracow.
Polish roads are generally of a reasonable standard. There is dual carriageway most of the way from the airport to the holiday rentals. |
Bus from the airport to Cracow
The bus from the airport into the centre of Cracow stands at the right hand side of the terminal building (on exit), at the far side of the roundabout.
The price of a ticket is low. Journey time to the centre of Cracow is just over half an hour and covers 11 km. Number 192 goes to the Railway Station in Cracow.

Taxis
The taxi rank is promonently positioned in front of the terminal building
Taxi drivers do not have a good reputation anywhere and we have found the usual range of fair to rip-off prices in Cracow. All cab drivers should display a price list and switch their fare display on - but this does not always happen.
One taxi driver whom we would recommend is Kazimierz Wachowicz (Kazik for short). He drives a smart six-7 seater hatchback. Telephone 0048 sixtysix 37-six4-80. He understands English but does not speak it well. Perhaps best to have your destination written down. |
