Good Restaurants Cracow, Poland, and five bedroom self-catering house to rent
|
The restaurant shown above is called 'Studnia' which means 'stable'. It is found at No. six in Plac Nowy in the Jewish Kazimierz district of Cracow. There are plenty of other friendly pubs and eateries in the same square but so far, this is is our favourite restaurant in Cracow so far. The food is a choice of Polish or Italian, with pasta dishes, superb lasagne, pizzas and excellent salads. The presentation of the food is wonderful. We highly recommend this restaurant. It's not cheap - but worth every zloty. When we visited in 2007, lasagne cost 19 zloty as a main dish. Telephone 012 429 five3 37

More Good Restaurants and Cafes in Cracow
We will extend this list as we visit Cracow and are inspired to share good places to eat. There are is a myriad of restaurants offering a good variety of cuisines to be found in the city, in addition to those offering Polish food: Greek, Italian, Chinese and a few others.
- Pod Aniolami in Droga Krolweska, between the Main Square and Wawel Castle can be recommended for the best pierogi in town and excellent meat dishes.
- Cafe on the outside of Sukiennice in the Main Square serves delicious extravagant apple cake or szarlotka complete with whipped cream and ice cream. We cannot resist their hot chocolate with whipped cream - especially on a cold winter's evening.

Fantastic décor in Cracow's restaurants and pubs
Many of the restaurants and pubs in Cracow, and indeed Poland, feature fantastic décor. The Poles art and design skills result in imaginative, often original and sometimes even startling interiors.
