Getting to the holiday rental accommodation
The nearest airport is Cracow Balice Airport also known as John Paul II airport after the Polish pope who came from near Cracow.
There are various scheduled airlines and cheap operators. Book in advance for best prices.
A car is almost essential but certainly necessary to get the most out of a holiday here. The taxi fare from Cracow to the house is about £40.
Car hire for the week can be as little as £170. We have found Budget Cars quite reasonable. These can be collected at the airport. An automatic will make driving on the right-hand side of the road easier for you. |

One of the nice things about a holiday in the Zakopane area of Poland is that your money goes a long way. Eating out, skiing and most things you do are inexpensive compared to the UK.
The highland style restaurants, e.g. Siwy Dym near Rabka and others in Zakopane and neighbouring towns, offer amusing evening experiences with dance, song and food with a regional flavour. |
